On February 17 the closing ceremony of the Moscow International Festival of Nature “Golden Turtle” took part at the Great Hall of the Central House of Art. The Festival was a huge success in the capital, visited by 15 000 spectators every day. On the central stage President of the Festival, member of the Federation Council O. Panteleev and General Director of the Festival A. Myaskov announced the results of the vote in the “People’s Choice of photo contests” and awarded the finalists of the open cinema contest of the Festival. Partners and co-organizers of the Festival were awarded with the Gratitude of the organizing committee.
The Fund for Protection of Lake Baikal was marked by Gratitude of the organizing committee for the interesting exhibition, dedicated to Lake Baikal and successfully completed the Day of Baikal. Accepting the award, Deputy Director of the FPLB I.Krylova thanked trust and support, given to the Fund, and noted the importance of such large-scale and professional environmental actions as the festival “Golden Turtle” aimed at promoting ecological initiatives and massive environmental education.
