The meeting that took place on 6 July, 2011 in Naryan-Mar focused on Measures for implementation of primary state policies of the Russian Federation in the Arctic Region to 2020 and further as well as economic and social development of the Russian Arctic Region from 2012 to 2020 and other strategic issues. The meeting was arranged by the Russian Government, the Russian Ministry of Regional Development, the Russian Ministry of Transport, Rosatom State Corporation and the Nenets Autonomous District Government. Mr Slipenchuk, Chairman of the FLPB Guardianship Board, Professor of the Moscow State University and a member of the Russian Geographic Society, was one of the speakers at the conference.
