On 5 April the environmental education campaign “Pure Ice of Northern Baikal” took place for the first time in the village Nizhneangarsk (water area Verkhneangarskiy litter, Severobaykalsky district) within the fishing “North Baikal ice”. The campaign organizers – the Fund for Protection of Lake Baikal, Centre for Ecological and social projects together with municipal administrations “Severobaykalskiy area district”.

During the campaign volunteers organized garbage collection, conducted environmental work and handed out leaflets to the competitors and guests of the festival.

This action took place within the framework of large-scale environmental project “Pure ice of Lake Baikal”.
