Patom Crater Interests the Mysterious Russia Documentary Crew of the NTV Channel

A documentary cycle titled Mysterious Russia tells NTV viewers of the most unexplored and interesting places in Russia such as the Patom crater. Scientists have long been trying to discover the origin of this unique formation on the side of a mountain in the Irkutsk Region. This location is very hard to reach and the Fund for Protection of Lake Baikal assisted the production crew by providing the fastest and most practical transportation - a helicopter.

The production crew also receives help from experienced researchers and scientists.

The creators of the new documentary project are determined to prove that unusual things are so close to us. The Mysterious Russia is about unique geographic areas and human creations, natural anomalies and monuments of vanished civilizations, unique people with incredible experiences. Each film of the cycle is dedicated to one of the Russian regions. Taking in the Irkutsk Region and in the Republic of Buryatia will continue through 4 August.  The new season of the documentary which is expected to be released in September will contain a movie on mysterious places in the Baikal Region.
